Our Story

MuAz Accountants LLC represents the evolution of a firm that began its journey in 2015 as MHH & Co. Chartered Accountants, registered with both the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Afghanistan. From the very beginning, MHH built its reputation on delivering high quality audit, tax, and business advisory services to national and international clients across Pakistan, Afghanistan.

In 2016, MHH was proudly affiliated with Affilica International, a global network of independent accounting and consulting firms a partnership that reinforced our global reach and technical alignment with international standards. By 2025, recognizing the demand for jurisdiction specific yet globally consistent professional services, the founders rebranded the firm under a unified identity MuAz Accountants.

This transition involved Launching MuAz Accountants LLC as a U.S.-registered firm based in Pennsylvania Rebranding our existing operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan under the MuAz name Maintaining the same leadership, service lines, and commitment to professional excellence that MHH stood for With over 700 clients served since inception including NGOs, corporates, startups, and public sector institutions MuAz today carries forward the legacy of MHH with a renewed global footprint, enhanced digital capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to trust, transparency, and region aware financial service delivery.

Meet the Founders

The story of MuAz Accountants began in 2015 when Mutahir Rehman and Syed Muhammad Azam Shah, two professionally qualified accountants with shared values and a vision for regionally rooted yet globally aligned financial services, came together to establish MHH & Co. Chartered Accountants. Drawing on their diverse experience across audit, tax, and advisory domains, they launched the firm in Pakistan and Afghanistan, setting a foundation built on trust, technical expertise, and client focused service.

Their efforts were internationally recognized in 2016, when MHH secured affiliation with Affilica International, positioning the firm within a global network of accounting professionals. In 2025, after visiting the U.S. and understanding the growing need for compliance driven, multi jurisdictional services, the founders expanded their footprint by launching MuAz Accountants LLC, a U.S. registered firm based in Pennsylvania. Today, MuAz Accountants operates as a dynamic, multi-regional firm with offices in the United States, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, backed by a qualified and dedicated team, proudly serving clients across sectors and borders with professionalism, clarity, and confidence.

As a co founder of MuAz Accountants, he brings deep technical knowledge and a visionary approach to cross border compliance, financial governance, and strategic advisory.

Mutahir’s qualifications span leading global certifications including ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, FCPA, and QuickBooks ProAdvisor equipping him with a sharp understanding of both international and local regulatory landscapes. His work has supported hundreds of clients across sectors such as development, telecom, logistics, manufacturing, real estate, and professional services.
